Louise Kellerman – Founder and Creative Director
I believe in the creative process, mark-making and community. I am a wife, a mother and a dreamer…
Professionally I’ve been working as a Graphic Designer for over ten years in Auckland and London. In 2007 I set up Louise Kellerman Design with a focus on identity creation and management, printed visual communication and website design.
In August 2008 frustrated at the lack of events and community for Graphic Designers in Auckland, I created Design Assembly with the help of web designer Shaun Lee.
My vision for Design Assembly is to be the community for New Zealand Graphic Designers, committed to sharing ideas, information and inspiration. It currently consists of quarterly conversation events in Auckland, a website of fresh regular content and an annual Auckland workshop series.
Future plans include world domination! (Well NZ maybe…)
I look forward to seeing you at the next Design Assembly event.

Corinne Smith – Community Development and Event Facilitation
I have been working as a Graphic Designer for over five years, spending most of this time designing for New Zealand’s public health sector and freelancing for various non-profits and businesses. My work focuses on brand development through identity design, print and web design.
I’m passionate about using design to innovate and enhance community initiatives.
I’ve attended Design Assembly events over the past three years and believe in the commitment to supporting the design community. I have joined Design Assembly to work with Louise and help it grow.
Louise and I have a lot of ideas and exciting plans for 2012!
Please let me know if you have anything you would like to contribute.
I look forward to seeing you at a DA event soon.

Why have a blog?
When Louise said she wanted to get designers talking I said we should run a blog. We have a lot of work to do but we are getting great participation from the community.
