Preserving our hand-painted building signage
by Corinne Smith on 09/07/2012Preserve was created by Mark Spurgeon to create a permanent record of hand-painted building signage. The project is a great way to visually capture the typography on buildings being demolished in Christchurch, along with signage across the country worn away by weather and time. I find this weathered quality gives the hand painted signage added charm and character. If you love typography it is worth going to the site to view the full collection and contribute.
