Every good designer knows what good design is, but what do they know about designing for good – social good. Graphic designers have a more important role to play than ever, a role where we can utilise our skills and knowledge to make a real difference. Jade will walk us through the what, who, why and how of Social Design.
Designing an Arts Community – Elise Sterback
Elise will be speaking in a philosophical fashion about questions of community in the design sector. She wishes to inspire DA members to think about how they are connected to each other on a local and global level. She will present a quick flyover of policy developments in the arts sector and creative industries, including some light analysis of current issues raised by the arrival of the Auckland supercity.
