It’s not that exciting but I think all the purple buses will have a bigger visual impact on Auckland than either of the new Auckland City logos. I wonder how long purple will remain “the colour of luxury”?

Metrolink think their buses are blue and silver?! They look purple to me…

Blue…? I think I either need to check my eyes or readjust all my screen colour settings… maybe both

I read somewhere that in political context purple means undecided. Not related but interesting.

Oh right – like I am not sure if I should vote Obama(Blue) or Mcain(Red) so I voted purple :-)

The new livery reads like Metroink… Need I say more.

I think the rebrand concept is a bit smarter than just “stagecoach” now = “metrolink”. They are trying to feel like “my local bus company”. Hence the West Akl parts of Stagecoach are now “Go West” etc. With that in mind, slightly budget execution might not be so bad…?

Nice! I can remember the yellow mercedes buses in AKL – I guess that makes me old o’ clock! Still a marked improvement on the general Stagecoach brand anyway..K
